Ok, esta era una de las cosas que les iba a enseñar la vez pasada y se me olvidó. Es Roy el Chico Tóxico, mi proyecto de cine del semestre pasado :)! la película que pase tantas horas haciendo, ir hasta Coronado para pegar plasticina en papel de presentación. Y pasar de viernes a sabado en una casa grabando... TODO EL DIA, hasta las 7 am que me fui a mi casa... cansado but I'm so proud of it :) aparte de que mi grupo era muy cool entonces pasabamos la mayoria del tiempo riendonos, jaja. So, here it is:

Festival Imperial
Estuvo demasiado cool!!!!!!
llegamos como a las 3 pm (habia gente desde las 7 am haciendo fila!) pero como ibamos para general no era necesario llegar tan temprano. La venta de cerveza empezaba hasta las 4 entonces la gente estaba como loca por que fueran las 4 (Festival IMPERIAL- Imperial es LA cerveza nacional) y la verdad todo estuvo tranquilo, nadie andaba haciendo horrible (making a fool of themselves) y habia muchisisisisima gente, pero en general no habia nadie apretujado, cada quien con su espacio buscando un lugar entre las cabezas para ver el escenario... y habian pantallas entonces se podia ver...
Empezó tocando Le Pop... un grupo nacional que a mi no me molesta pero los cortaron porque la gente se estaba poniendo hostil, jaja. Para que se hagan una idea, tiene lyrics como los de Maria Daniela y su sonido lasses... una de sus canciones dice "Cucaramacara titere fue, yo no fui, fue tete, pegale pegale que ella fue" 'nough said
Despues tocó Cafe Tacuba que estuvo EXCELENTE! muy buen sonido, y tocaron el baile y el salon que era la que queria oir :) dicen que vuelven en junio o agosto, ojala sea cierto.
Despues babasonicos... que la pura verdad yo no se ni que tocan entonces en ese rato me fui a sentar por aya, y a comer algo... DICEN (se rumora) que les empezaron a tirar hielo... que la verdad que vergüenza, pero que se le va a hacer...
después INCUBUSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
que fue 100% el mas coreado de todo el festival, aparte de que cantaron puros exitos entonces la gente estaba como loca! cantaron wish you were here, anna molly, nice to know you, drive y otras cancioncillas y cerraron con megalomaniac. Lo malo fue que el sonido de incubus estaba MALO MALO les digo, estaba como bajo y como x... pero no importa... vi a Brandon Boyd, todo él, sin camisa, en el escenario, cantando... Im so happy! *tear*
Pero fue como "ok, this is our last song" cantaron, y a la gente no le dio ni tiempo de decir "OTRA" cuando ya estaban cambiando todo para smashing pumpkins... Fue un poco molesto, pero la verdad el festival empezó atrasado entonces ya iban con el tiempo apretado. Se suponia que el fesival iba a ir terminando a las 12 y eran las 11.30 y smashing no habia ni salido.
Pero entonces salio smashing, cantando this is the greatest day , cantaron tonight tonight, 1979, bullet with butterfly wings entre otros... la verdad la verdad a la mitad de smashing Alonso y yo nos fuimos a dormir al carro, el cansancio no daba para mas y yo no me se ni una cancion de ellos, entonces de ahi se escuchaban... aparte de que habian unas doñas demasiado molestas atras de nosotros entonces ni para que quedarse.
Yo ya estaba en mi casa para la 1, como nos vinimos antes de que terminara todo... Mi hermano que si se espero a que terminaran de cantar hasta la ultima cancion llegó a las 3.30 am.... eso pasa cuando hay 26 mil personas en un solo lugar intentando salir al mismo tiempo.

Pero bueno, esa fue mi historia del festival imperial, y ahora me voy a a alistar porque voy a salir a almorzar con mis papas :)

Last night I arrived with Alonso to my house at around 5 something-ish, we ate and we went to my room where the turtle lives. The turtle is all happy with it's head out the water and all. We go to my bro's room (cause he has computer+tv and I have a turtle)and like an hour/hour and a half later we go to my room because we're leaving to Alonso's house so I have to get my stuff. Alonso goes over to Sushi's house and looks at it... the turtle isnt moving... it's actually kind of stiff... I go and take a look at it and it isnt doing anything, it's just looking straight back at me without blinking... So I start to panic and I start crying, I mean, I hadnt had that turtle for even a month! and Alonso had given it to me, I was planning on having it for over 10 years so it could grow all big and beautiful :( and now it was dead... So my bro come's to see whats going on, he shakes it, and blows wind at it's face--- nothing. My mom comes when I go whinning about it, and she talks to the turtle (no kidding) and still no response. So she's starts telling me how irresponsable I am, that I couldnt even take care of a turtle... So after I tell Alonso about my other 3 turtles, and he tells me how he's going to get me another one, and I tell him I want no other animal with me because it would die, and he tells me it's time to leave, and I tell him I dont want to go, he goes over to the turtle to check on it one last time.
And what does he find, the turtle with its head sticking out... I say it might be some reflex after-death reaction... but turtles dont go back into the water and start eating as an after-death reaction!!! The stupid turtle was playing dead! but I hadnt taught her that!!! It was crazy, so afterwards I start laughing compulsively, because I'm so happy and I also dont get it.

So, I'm Gabriela who mourned a turtle who was still alive.

That's from like a month ago, but I like it none the less

The six months dinner was great :) He got me flowers and a turtle! The turtle is called Sushi, es muy guapa. And I cried when I got the flowers... porque soy ñoña y nadie nunca me habia comprado flores... Me he dado cuenta que me volví muy llorona... I dont know how I feel about this.



And on saturday Costa Rica voted on the referendum to approve or decline the TLC (tratado de libre comercio con los estados unidos)I voted NO but el SI ganó--- Esperemos que a mi país no se lo lleve Candanga (como diría mi mamá)

And I watched Amelie on friday... I'm in love, It was such a brilliant movie about nothing, I cant stop thinking about it.

I just read my friends page, and there had been so much updating going on... for a few days I had forgotten about lj...

Me? I'm good, have an exam tomorrow (microbiología) and I'm not gonna do so well because I've been too lazy to actually get any sudying done...

So, lets make bullet points

• Terminé mis clases de manejo el martes pasado. Sigo sin licencia porque no he ido a hacer el examen, pero ya se como funciona : )
• Ayer fui a la Romería, which means walking 32 km from Sj Jose to Cartago to arrive to the Basílica de la Virgen de los Ángeles. But people come from all over the country with their faith and their promises to the Virgin. I went because when my mom got sick I promised the Virgin I'd go if she made my mom get better. Around 1 million people arrived there last night, only. -Remember Costa Rica's population is of about 4 million ppl-
• Alonso got a new puppy, it's adorable :P
• I finished my first semester in college! I passed everything, even biology, so that makes me happy
• I got fever on wednesday, I hadnt had fever since I was in primary school
• I love Alonso (bebecillo!!!!)
  And yeah, thats it : ) Hope everyone is well all over the world

Alonso got his driver's license last week :) It's fun to have a car, and I'm starting my driving lessons next week so hopefully I'll join the group of people that can move around by themselves... Though, to tell you the truth, I dont plan on driving much because:
1. I'm a sissy and I'll have anxiety attacks everytime I touch the wheel
2. I'll end up killing someone
3. Driving doesnt make Earth happy :(

I plan on just being co-dependent on Alonso's driving abilities :)

Se llama Ojal. Me lo encontre en el patio de mi casa un dia que venia llegando. Le di leche en polvo porque en mi casa no habia leche (happens). No vive en mi casa porque si no Botón se lo come y mis papas me echan. Pero los gatos tienen buena memoria entonces viene de vez en cuando a comer.

Hoy vimos un monton de cosas por microscopio en laboratorio y me gustaron las amebas :)

Eran como las 12 md, e iba caminando en direccion al bus de Alajuela-San Pedro que es el que me lleva a la U. Iba por calle ancha, con uno de esos pantalones que llegan un poco mas arriba de la rodilla negros, cuando alguien me grito "Gasparín" (aka Casper) no sabia si reirme o sentarme a llorar. Haha, I've come to V good terms with my paleness actually. And my friends found the story amusing :P

Latest interesting event at my house: a bat appeared in my brother's room... and my psycho violent dad killed it instead of freeing it to the outside world like I suggested. And yes, we have hideous tiles in our bathrooms.

From yesterday, que acá es feriado (Batalla de Rivas)... fuimos al cementerio (a visitar al Coronel Espinoza -his grandad- he passed away 6 months ago), a comer con mis primos, a su casa, a comer hamburguesas, a mi casa, a ver sienfeld y al parquecito

Way too much work to get done, not enough motivation or sense of responsability to actually do it.
